Birthday-Visitor-Radooga
Well once again I have failed to blog in a timely matter. I have been so busy lately that I just haven't had the time to do it. I don't know where to begin but I will just tell you what has been going on lately and they may or may not be in cronological order. Well since my last post I had a birthday. (don't feel any older though) My mom took me to lunch at my favorite Mexican food restaurant and Megan made me a cake! I had gotten up early that day so I was really tired and fell asleep right after dinner and didn't even eat any of it. I felt really bad, but being the kind and usually understanding daughter Megan didn't mind because that next day we had a special visitor to help us eat the cake. Josh came in the little red truck and brought watermelon! After a short visit he and my four girls all went off to the neighborhood pool and spent most of the day there until their eyes couldn't take the chlorine anymore. Yeah Thursday is not a good day for your eyes at the pool because Wednesday they close the pool to clean it and so everything is really strong on Thursday. So they all came back with red eyes and red cheeks to match. They got a little pinkish from the sun but not enough to keep them from going back the next day! Anyway Josh was the big hit with everyone. All the kids at the pool are still asking the girls when will he be back! He finally got to meet my husband too! It was just a fun couple of days when he came and we all hope to do it again soon! But from what I hear the little red truck might not be coming back. :( Well we promise to try to love the new car/truck? too! :)
I got some good presents for my b-day. One was a really neat family tree chart that looks like old parchment type paper to fill in and then frame. It's really big and would look great on the wall. Also I got the new Hillsong CD called Hope! I love Hillsongs! I have been a fan of them from way back before everyone heard of them. The pastor of the church where we used to attend homeschool co-op had been to Australia and had been to the church and heard one of their live Worship services and was hooked! So he brought back lots of their CD's to sell at their little church store and I bought 2 and have loved them ever since! My mom got me a really cute Alice in Wonderland Mug and a shirt and some photo albums and a cookbook, My dad & stepmom gave me a really cool blanket/throw that had shells, clownfish & seahorses on it & also gave me some Bath & Bodyworks (Coconut Lime Verbena) Body Creme that smells so good. It reminds me of cocobutter or suntan lotion. My youngest sister gave me a W-Mart GC! I got lots of nice cards from my kids and other family. All in all I had a pretty good bday!
Well it is just one more day when Alicia goes off to the Ukraine on her mission trip! The plane leaves here at 6:50 AM and she goes to Dallas first then to JFK airport in New York! Then she will meet up with the rest of the group that are going and then she boards a different airline for her long journey to the Ukraine! She finally got all her lesson plans finished and she has packed and repacked 10 times already. Her bags are the exact weight they are supposed to be (under 50 lbs.) so that is good. She will really be missed while she is gone, but I know she will be in our Heavenly Father's hands sharing His Word with some youth of whom many don't know Him at all! So keep Alicia,Kim,Amber, and the rest of the American team in your prayers as they journey to the Ukraine to share His Good News!!! Also keep the Ukrainian youth in your prayers as they have little knowledge of God (due to 70 years of communist atheistic teachings). If you want to know specific daily prayer requests, Alicia has it up on her blog Well, I think I better post this thing before someone else calls to talk to Alicia. I keep having to sign off and let her use the phone! The beauty of Dial-up aye? Anywho - I will keep yall posted while she is gone or don't for get to check out the Radooga site for updates! Blessings to all, Larlie!

Our little blog ring!
Isn't it funny the things we come up with when we go short of sleep? I guess that is what this is. (I promise there is a point to this.) Well, this morning I was feeling a little silly and missing the awesome Miss KT & Roo! Our little "blog ring" that Anna started has been lacking lately: First - Our leader left our little group and then the 2 brothers in our little ring decided that their thoughts weren't meant for the whole world to see so now ya need a password to read their thoughts,(which would be okay if you didn't have to go through the whole enter password bit two times! Then our Smelly LITTLE friend moved and only has internet access at work so although his posts are great they aren't as frequent as they used to be. Next we had Miss Kat venture off to Arkyland while Roo stayed behind to help pack up the house for the Big Move. So at the moment no Saturday Evening Post and no one to tell us how to spell or to give a a razzing when we need one! The other bro-sis duo are on blog hiatis until we beg them to post or until the next big ball comes around to talk about! (j/k) :P~~ So, it seems that leaves Me and my gals who have been trying to post more often and then last but certainly not least, our most faithful blogger I might add, Marisa! She is so great! She has had some really awesome posts lately! She definitely has a talent for blogging. Since it had been quiet lately in our little circle I have ventured off to seek out new blogs to read. There are so many bloggers out there. And they write about anything and everything! I recommend reading a new random blog at least once a day! Who knows? You might meet a new friend or find a great recipe or be tempted to try something new! And there are so many Christian bloggers that are so on fire for God that you can just feel His presence through the monitor! Awesome! So my advice for the day is to venture out of our little blog ring and fill the void by reading a random blog! And don't forget to click on their favorite blog links - you just might find out what inspires them!
Well now that I have plugged my "read a random blog" thought, I will get back to my original point. This morning while I had all these thoughts running through my head I came up with this silly little song for our little blog ring that goes to the tune of the Winnie-the-pooh song.
It's just kinda a silly fun thing we do around the house for fun. We take songs and make up our own little words to them. It is usually when we are in some silly mood or something, but can be quite entertaining! Now that yall are thinkin' I am totally goofy I am gonna end this post here! Take care and Yahweh Bless! Have a wonderfully silly, happy, awesome day!

Interesting Saturday!
Well it's been almost a week since I last posted so in trying to keep my plan of blogging at least once a week here goes: Not much to tell. I am really enjoying my new furniture - so much more comfy than the old stuff! And it really goes great with the camel colored walls I painted several months back! Now I just need new tile floors and it will look great! Saturday I went to work with the hubby and had a nice afternoon. Since it was Memorial day weekend the store was only opened til 1:00 so I decided to go since I hadn't seen the store since it first opened in January. The store looks really good now! I found a chair with cowboy material on it that I want! Anyway - after we closed up the store we went to the store owners house who was having a garage sale so my hubby could help him move a couch and pick up the new one they bought from the store and bring it back to their house. Anyway his wife was closing up her sale and said I could have anything I wanted that she had left. I got a brand new game for the kids a German mug for the hubby and some books. I got several cookbooks! I love cookbooks! One of them was a cookbook that I almost bought once that sold for $20 that I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for so I was really excited! One was a bread machine book and 2 were for barbecue/grilling and one Low fat cooking that all sound great! Books are always the first thing I look for at a garage sale. I mostly look for books that I can use for our homeschool. I just love books! I can thank my mom for that. She loves books too and that was one thing she instilled in her kids was a love of good books! She used to take me and my sisters to the library every week and we always got as many as they would allow us to take and we would have half of them read by the next day or two. We started reading the minute we got into the car. Except one of my sisters who gets carsick. She will get sick if she reads even a sentence in the car! On our family vacations she always had to take dramamine every time! Speaking of vacations I am determined to go to the coast this summer no matter what. We haven't gone fishing in forever! :( Anyway back to Saturday - after we left the store owner's house my hubby took me to "The Country Spirit" restaurant! the food was excellent although kinda pricey! The restaurant resides in an old house that was built in 1879. It was the first 2-story house built in Boerne by a french architect and used to be known as "The Mansion" It had several owners over the years and then was bought by a lady who renovated the whole house and made it into "The Country Spirit" Restaurant. She just sold it this past January and Me and the hubby met and talked to the new owner who gave us a tour and told us all about the history of the house. He intends to change the name back to "The mansion" and add some more items to the menu. Of course the story that goes with the place is that there are 3 ghosts that live there, Augusta, Fred, and, David. Augusta was a former owner of the house and loved it so much she decided to stay when she passed away in her sleep in the house. David was supposed to have been a teenager who was killed in front of the building in some sort of wagon accident, and Fred is an old man who was a spirit passing through and liked Augusta & David so much he decided to stay with them. Anyway the new owner says he didn't believe it at first and he's never seen them, but that there is definitely something weird going on in the place. Anyway Boerne is rumoured to have several ghosts in different places including the library also known as the Dienger Building where Former Owner Mr. Dienger is said to reside. After hearing all this ghost talk one is to wonder are there really ghosts/spirits? Why are they here if they are? Is this one of those things that we aren't supposed to question Yahweh about? I know ghosts are mentioned in the bible: Luke 24:38-40 and: Matthew 14:25-27 But I just don't know what to think. I guess I need to do more study on the subject before I know. Anyway all in all I had a great time on Saturday with a nice meal to boot! After that we drove the 30 minutes home and watch the movie "Matchstick Men" with Nicholas Cage! It was pretty good! Well this is where I will leave off for today - I need to go finish a cleaning project I started yesterday. I got some of my grandma's furniture that I have been wanting and since we moved her to a different place, we have been sorting out her stuff and getting ready to sell the house. I need to make room for the furniture because it doesn't fit where I originally planned on putting it, so at the moment it is in the living room - ( 2 nightstands and an old record cabinet) Anyway will have to figure it out today! Take care all and Jesus Bless!
