Rain, rain, & more rain!
Hey gang!
Not too much going on here but since I hadn't posted in a while I figured I better! We have been having lots of rain this week and it doesn't seem to have an end in site. So I guess most activities this week have been for the most part indoors. Actually yesterday we had a sunny day for the first part of the day. Just long enough for me to go to my mom's and fix her computer. Actually it was the printer. She got one of those really cool new photo printers that you can just put in your camera's memory card and print pictures and it prints regular stuff too. Anyway like right after I got back home it wasn't 5 minutes later the sky turned dark and we had pouring rain and lots of lightening! I love stormy weather or at least if I am not out in it. Watching it all come down and the light show is fascinating as well! And I always feel more rested on a rainy night. It is so relaxing! Anyway the weather forcasters have predicted more of the stuff so since we have had alot already they expect alot of flooding today.
Well the other thing that has happened lately is that Megan had a birthday on Sunday the 14th! So now she is the big 15! Anyway she had a small slumber party over the weekend to celebrate. I won't give away all the details and spoil it for her blog post so check for it soon on her blog! They all had fun and that is what matters! When we have a birthday in our house, the birthday person gets to choose whatever they want for dinner. Some of the favorites are Steak and baked potatoes with all the trimmings (except bacon bits), Chicken fried steak (with cream gravy Josh!), and Enchiladas! Well this time Megan's choice was "green chicken enchiladas" and I had never made them before! I have eaten them but never made them. And no they are not made from green chicken for those inquiring minds! They are so-called because they have a green sauce (verde sauce) made from green chilies instead of red chilies! Anyway I was so proud of myself that they turned out scrump-dilly-ump-cious! And yes - I went off my diet for that meal, I just ate a smaller portion instead. But I am back on track with my exercising and eating better!
Well, I don't have much else to say for today other than I want to congratulate KT for her idea, and Roo for making it happen! What am I talking about you say? Our new group fotopage: KOSOMO Each week, one person posts a subject and the rest of the group takes 1 - 2 photos pertaining to that particular subject. At the end of the week, everyone in the group votes for their favorite photo that isn't their own, and then Roo tallies the votes and declares the winner! The winner then chooses the new subject for the following week! Even though we have only been doing it about a month it is a success already! Really fun!
Well, one thing with all this rain, we have been watching more movies! We got the Indiana Jones trilogy at the library so we watched 2 of them - the 1st & 3rd one. I like the 3rd one (The last crusade the best) my kids like the 2nd one (The Temple of Doom) but it is my least favorite of the three. I will be curious to know if after all this time the 4th one will be as good. (If they ever get it made) I guess that is all I have to post about for now. Take care and everyone have a blessed week!

Bout time I posted!!!!!!
Well here it is November 1 and it has been nearly a month ago that I posted. I guess a lot has been going on so I have neglected all my blogging & fotopaging (?) again. After coming back from the Feast at the first part of October, I had turned over a new leaf and changed lots of my bad habits! First of all I gave up caffine, sugar, sodas, & MSG! I have also gotten into the habit of drinking lots of water and exercising every morning when I wake up! I am also trying to get into the habit of eating breakfast of some sort. I haven't really eaten breakfast except on occasion, basically since when I was in high school 20 years ago! I know they say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But for 20 years my breakfast was 3 mugs of coffee sweetened with, yes.......white sugar!!!! Anyway so I have been kinda busy with focusing on all these changes and hadn't felt like posting much. Also i used to get up and get on the computer first thing while I drank my coffee. Now I get up and drink water and exercise with Billy Blanks via Tae-bo Live! It is actually all paying off! I have lost 10 lbs. already!
Also, three of my nieces have all had a baby in recent weeks! Staci had her first baby - a boy - Layne Ryan Northcut on September 29th. His pictures can be found on my previous post. Then Stephanie had her first baby - a girl - Kaylee Nicole Ball on October 12th. Her pictures can be found here: Kaylee Then exactly 2 weeks later on October 26, her sister Tiffany gave birth to her second child - a girl- Michelle Jade Davis. Her pictures can be found here: Michelle Anyway so once again my family is getting bigger and bigger. I now have a total of 6 nieces and 3 nephews from my 4 siblings. And I have 5 great nieces and 3 great nephews! Wow! My family is large! My maternal grandma has 4 children, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 gt. gt. grandchildren. They are all living except 2 baby girls - 1 that died at birth & 1 that died shortly after birth. So needless to say, when we all get together there are a lot of us!!!! We all seem to have a great time too!
Last night was the fall festival at the church. We have been going to it every year for about the past 7-8 years! It's always lots of fun, and it is a better alternative to staying at home on All Hallow's Eve! Anyway some of the Mabritos came and then spent the night here at our house last night. We had a great time! This year the church rented a whole lot of bouncy inflatable things. They usually just get the bungy one and the moon bounce, but this time they had this really cool infaltable slide that was 2 stories high and then this bouncy 4 way tug of war game inflatable and another one was an inflatable obstacle course and in the gym they had a huge inflatable basketball hoop with really big basketballs! Also in the gym was the cake walk which ( I know I gave up sugar), but my kids wanted a cake and we donated 3 cakes so I decided to try that for a while. I never won a cake but some really nice little boy who won 3 cakes gave my mother in-law a strawberry cake with strawberry icing since she didn't win one. So of course she took a little bit for her and then gave my girls the rest to take home. I can't believe it! My will power is strong! Of course I have Yahweh on my side! Between my 4 kids and the 3 Mabritos here, all the candy they got looked like we were opening a candy store! And I have not even had one piece! Which is good considering I am an admitted chocoholic caffeine freak! The Lord has given even me the strength and will power to avoid temptation! So I guess to sum up my whole post..........Phillippians 4:13
I can do all things through Yashua who strengthens me!
