Rain, rain, & more rain!
Hey gang!
Not too much going on here but since I hadn't posted in a while I figured I better! We have been having lots of rain this week and it doesn't seem to have an end in site. So I guess most activities this week have been for the most part indoors. Actually yesterday we had a sunny day for the first part of the day. Just long enough for me to go to my mom's and fix her computer. Actually it was the printer. She got one of those really cool new photo printers that you can just put in your camera's memory card and print pictures and it prints regular stuff too. Anyway like right after I got back home it wasn't 5 minutes later the sky turned dark and we had pouring rain and lots of lightening! I love stormy weather or at least if I am not out in it. Watching it all come down and the light show is fascinating as well! And I always feel more rested on a rainy night. It is so relaxing! Anyway the weather forcasters have predicted more of the stuff so since we have had alot already they expect alot of flooding today.
Well the other thing that has happened lately is that Megan had a birthday on Sunday the 14th! So now she is the big 15! Anyway she had a small slumber party over the weekend to celebrate. I won't give away all the details and spoil it for her blog post so check for it soon on her blog! They all had fun and that is what matters! When we have a birthday in our house, the birthday person gets to choose whatever they want for dinner. Some of the favorites are Steak and baked potatoes with all the trimmings (except bacon bits), Chicken fried steak (with cream gravy Josh!), and Enchiladas! Well this time Megan's choice was "green chicken enchiladas" and I had never made them before! I have eaten them but never made them. And no they are not made from green chicken for those inquiring minds! They are so-called because they have a green sauce (verde sauce) made from green chilies instead of red chilies! Anyway I was so proud of myself that they turned out scrump-dilly-ump-cious! And yes - I went off my diet for that meal, I just ate a smaller portion instead. But I am back on track with my exercising and eating better!
Well, I don't have much else to say for today other than I want to congratulate KT for her idea, and Roo for making it happen! What am I talking about you say? Our new group fotopage: KOSOMO Each week, one person posts a subject and the rest of the group takes 1 - 2 photos pertaining to that particular subject. At the end of the week, everyone in the group votes for their favorite photo that isn't their own, and then Roo tallies the votes and declares the winner! The winner then chooses the new subject for the following week! Even though we have only been doing it about a month it is a success already! Really fun!
Well, one thing with all this rain, we have been watching more movies! We got the Indiana Jones trilogy at the library so we watched 2 of them - the 1st & 3rd one. I like the 3rd one (The last crusade the best) my kids like the 2nd one (The Temple of Doom) but it is my least favorite of the three. I will be curious to know if after all this time the 4th one will be as good. (If they ever get it made) I guess that is all I have to post about for now. Take care and everyone have a blessed week!
