Wow it's been a long long time!
Wow! it has been a really long time since my last post! This is going to be a long one catching up! I have been busy flickring and other such things! In looking at my last post, it was Abby's 1st birthday. Well since then there have been a few other firsts! Well my great nephew Layne Ryan turned one! What a big boy! They had a nice party for him at his grandma Julie's house! He had a cookie monster cake like his daddy had when he was little. There is also great news as he will be getting a new brother in a few months to come!
Another first just recently was with Baby girl Kaylee celebrating her first year milestone! What a sweet baby girl she is! Happy birthday Kaylee! Another great niece, Michelle, who is Kaylee's 1st cousin will be celebrating her 1st birthday next week! They are exactly 2 weeks to the day apart.
Now as I look back on my calendar since my last post in February, several other things of note: In March - I was liberated! I got Roadrunner & got rid of my dial-up AOL! I also got digital phone & got rid of my SBC! I love it! In April - Megan & I went to the Blanco Living History Day which included several notable guestspeakers, a banquet, & a ball! It was great! The men and women were dressed in there civil war era costumes! There was lots of dancing and it was fun! Also in April we went to a Feast of Unleavened Bread at Canyon Lake. It was also loads of fun, good food, good friends, good fellowship, swimming, good music, & The Good News! In May - My mom bought tickets for me & my sister to go to the Alamodome to see Joel Osteen live. My Uncle came along too & my mom's boyfriend as well. It was really nice & there was a big turnout! We also went to see Star Wars III for Jordan's birthday! She had been counting the days down til it came out! Finally this movie helped piece together & answer all those lingering questions about anakin/darth vader, etc.! June came and I turned another year older & my mom & her longtime boyfriend of 25 years finally got married! Now that's a long engagement huh? LOL Me & my siblings were glad it finally happened. Now we can say: my stepdad instead of my mom's boyfriend. Ashley went off for a week to Glorieta, NM for a camp called WILDWEEK. She had a great time. She also got 2 lifeguarding jobs and is glad to be making money. One is year round for a local school district at an indoor natatorium and the other was only for summer at our neighborhood pool. July - Alicia bought a miniature dachshund/wiener dog! He is soo cute! His name on his papers are Hershey Caramel Kisses. We call him Hershey. We are pretty sure he is what they call a Sable colored dachshund. On the 4th of July we went to Camp Alzafar for their annual dance that we usually go to. It was fun! Alicia went to the Ukraine again on a mission trip. This was her second time. She really liked seeing the work Yahweh is doing over there! She was gone two weeks and got home in the middle of the night and was back in time for a week of VBS at the church! There was a big turnout and Me & all 4 of the girls worked! The kids all had a great time! 4 of my nephews & 3 friends all were able to attend. August - Well our old black lab Lacey turned 11 this month. She isn't so much black anymore, she is turning gray on her feet and snout area. My great niece Hailey turned 6 during her trip to Disneyland. She had a lot of fun there. On the 18th - 21st, Me, my mom, Ashley, Alicia, Megan, Jordan & Josh all went to Corpus Christi to visit my sister Andrea & her family (David & Hayden) We had a great time visiting, playing games, spending the day at the beach, and on Sunday attended the Franklin Graham Festival! It was a weekend long event, but we only wanted to go to the last day when Michael W. Smith was there. He was so energetic and so full of the Holy Spirit! You could just feel Yahweh's presence in the auditorium. It was great! The 21st would have been my best friend Michele's 40th Birthday had she lived long enough to see it! Boy do I still miss her! We would have celebrated it up right! September - My cousin Jeff goes away to Scotland to attend the University of Edinburgh. Layne has his 1st birthday party which was a happy event but on the morning before the party Me, my mom, my sisters Julie & Andrea were going to visit my maternal grandma who was in hospital. Well my mom got the call that she took a turn for the worse and so we decided to make our visit earlier than planned but by the time we got there she had just passed away about 20 minutes before, while we were in route to the hospital. We will all miss her, but she lived a good long life - she passed just 10 days before her 92nd birthday! October - We went to a feast of Tabernacles in Athens. It was lots of fun. Lots of good speakers, good friends, good fellowship. It was a great time together. It's the first time I have slept in a tent since I was aout 11 or 12. There were 9 of us in that tent with loads of stuff but we all fit! Also the highlight of the feast was Ashley & Alicia's baptism . Praise Yahweh! We were all so proud of them for taking this important step in their walk! Happy Birthdays! Next week we will be heading back to Athens to the same campground for another tabernacles celebration! It promises to be equally as much fun as the last one. Can't wait to see everyone! I know it will be a great time of learning and fun & fellowship! I will provide details on that when we return. Well I am going to try not to wait so long to post next time! I know you will all be relieved I am finished finally! TTFN - Larlie! 4:22 PM |
